AssucA FIESTA at the FLY BAR, Belfast (07 MAR 2002) To celebrate the end of the beginners/intermediate courses before the easter break, a fiesta-party is going to take place in the top floor of the The Fly Bar on 12 March 2002. All AS salsa students (whether you have come to 1 or 200 classes, it doesn't matter!) are welcome to join the party. Of course, all attendants are encouraged to bring friends along. EASTER BREAK and A.S. CLASSES RESUME @ the FLY (07 MAR 2002) A.S. is taking a break for Easter. Salsa classes at The Fly Bar will resume after a 2-week break. The days with no class are: Tuesday 19 March 2002 - NO CLASS Tuesday, 26 March 2002 - NO CLASS
Classes will start again on Tuesday, 2 April 2002. New courses details are: EVERY TUESDAY EVENING AT THE FLY BAR (FIRST FLOOR) Beginners: 7:00 - 8:00pm Intermediate: 8:15: - 9:15pm 8-week Salsa course Instructors: Emilio and Rhoda £4.00 per class (£3.00 Concession) (5-class Vouchers are available for these courses) Vouchers not completed or used up by the 12 of March WILL BE STILL VALID after the Easter break. We will keep the beginners and intermediate courses at the same location and times. NEW LOWER-ADVANCED STUDENTS PLEASE REFER TO THE NEXT PIECE OF NEWS. NEW LOWER-ADVANCED SALSA COURSE (07 MAR 2002) AssucA Salsa are currently working on the new details for the group of intermediate students that finish the course on March 12 and move on to the lower-advanced level. As soon as we have concrete venue, dates and times, we will let you know and will publish it in this page. JOIN ASSUCA SALSA COMMUNITY IN MSN (07 MAR 2002) We have opened a webspace as means of "cyber meeting point" for salseros all over the web. The assuca community is hosted at communities.msn.com and it is a service provided by Microsoft MSN. If you want to join the assuca community, please send a message to our email address assuca@hotmail.com, indicating that you want to be added to our community. In the assuca community you will be able to post your own salsa pictures plus get in touch with all its members. This has been started in order to spread salsa news, events, and information as far as possible amongst the salsa lovers.
AssucA Salsa at the CHINESE NEW YEAR FESTIVAL 2002 (20 FEB 2002) AssucA Salsa participated in the Chinese New Year Celebration 2002 that took place at the Withla Hall of the Queen's University of Belfast, on Sat, 16 Feb 2002. It was a really nice event where a lot of people from all over the world came to celebrate the end of the chinese year and welcome the new one. The event consisted of a really tasty chinese food platter and fruit with drinks, and an act with several performances by artists from different disciplines. AssucA Salsa had the honour to be the closing performers. In the picture below, the group offering its rueda de casino.
5-CLASS VOUCHER AVAILABLE (30 JAN 2002) You can now benefit from our 5-Class Vouchers. The voucher price is £15.00 (£10.00 Concession). This represents £1.00 off per class. Vouchers can be used at the salsa courses given in the Fly Bar. It is not necessary to redeem the 5 classes consecutively, which means that if you miss a class, the vouvher is still valid for the next class. Vouchers can be obtained during the class hours in the Fly Bar. A maximum of two people can use the same voucher. For further details, write to assuca@hotmail.com.
SALSA NIGHT AT THE STORM NIGHT CLUB, IN BELFAST (30 JAN 2002) From the 8 Feb 2002 and every Friday evening, the Storm Night Club is opening a Salsa Night under the name of "FIESTA LATINA", with DJ Riko.
